1796 NGC Poor Details Draped Bust Quarter

This listing is for a 1796 Draped Bust Quarter NGC Poor Details Graffiti. The graffiti is an "M" carved in front of Mrs. Liberty's neck. With a mintage of 6146 this is an ultra rarity in any grade and auction appearances are few and far between. When examples do become available they are typically very pricey.
The offered specimen is not without its faults, but its low grade and damage keep the price on this one much more favorable then typically encountered. The remaining details are nice despite the poor grade. The date is clearly visible with most of each of the 4 digits readily visible. Much of the bust and as many as 11 stars also remain visible to some degree. The reverse is pretty much slick but does show a couple of leaves and the tip of bird's beak.
