Description
Nearly Spectacular!Very Unusual 1902 US Army Officer's uniform both in terms of usage and condition.
It is a Colonel's Dress Uniform in the 1902 Pattern for a Nebraska Militia "Aide to the General".
The sleeve "Aide to the General" insignia is so rare that I cannot find it in any reference guide.
All that are shown are the normal Aide's insignia with stars but without the State Abbreviation.
Overall condition is excellent.
The only defects located are two small insect holes and a bit of surface staining on one arm back that would not photograph.
Otherwise in exemplary condition.
I can send additional photographs upon request.
The makers tag is at the collar and is from "The M.C. Lilley Company, Columbus, O, Military & Society Goods".
Buttons are all matching also from Lilley and with the back mark "M. C. Lilley & Co., Columbus, O." The shoulder board attachment screw buttons are also present.
No Shoulder boards unfortunately, but they are readily available.
I have several pairs in my collection which will be listed when I come to that box.
This is a top of the line uniform of very unusual state character.
You are welcome to make a reasonable offer on this uniform.
