    Description

    This sale is for a clutch-back enamel Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI/DI) for the 382nd Military Police Battalion of the US Army. The pin is unmarked. This is a modern clutch-back version as used today. The item is in excellent condition and measures regulation size at 1 X 1 1/8 inches.
    The design for this DI dates to January 27, 1953, when the Army approved the design. The unit's motto is "Police With Honor," which appears on the crest.  The unit operated in the Heidelberg area of Germany since the end of WWI, and its crest draws on local heraldic imagery.
