View show on the post card is from the inside of the Little Bohemia Lodge looking out through the window having bullet holes in the glass to the cabin next door.
The lodge was built in 1929 and owned by Emil Wanatka.
Little Bohemia Lodge was a hideout for John Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd and other Chicago Gangsters. This site where the shoot out on April 22, 1934 between Treasury Agent Melvin Purvis and others battled Dillinger and his gang took place with one of the FBI Agents ( W. Carter Baum) and a civilian Eugene Boisneau) being killed and Dillinger escaping.
