    Description

Communist Afghanistan Army officer hat badge for a Service Hat (smaller type), 1980-87 issue.
GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL Soviet-made insignia issued to a serviceman of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation period. This is NOT a recent replica!
The badge is in anodized aluminum and paint, 32.1 mm tall x 34.4 mm wide. Features the early version of the state emblem of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, with the book. The emblem was changed in 1987.
In NEAR MINT condition – which is extremely rare for a Soviet-era military insignia from Afghanistan. The paint is perfectly preserved, shows no scuffs, chips or other visible wear. The anodized finish is bright, free of oxidation. The attachment prongs are intact and fully functional.
Uniforms and military insignia from the DRA have become increasingly difficult to find in the recent years, especially in anything like collectible condition. Don’t miss your chance to add this impressive and scarce piece to your collection!
