One of the most popular film characters of all time, Gandalf the Grey!
Weta Workshop is responsible for creating the look of this beloved wizard from the LOTR and The Hobbit films and now Weta has done it again in the unique stylized sculpts from the Mini Epic series.
I am working with Weta as a Licensed artist on many projects and during the San Diego Comic Con of 2018, Weta Workshop owner Richard Taylor challenged me to create a painting with a realistic approach to an unrealistic geometric form, such as the Mini Epic Gandalf sculpt.
On top of that, the challenge was to infuse the look of actor Ian Mckellan as Gandalf into this art, as if the design was made of real flesh and blood.
The Paper editions are limited to 2000 pieces worldwide measuring 24 x 34 inches
