Description
This module serves to breakout the MPU-6050 chipset, a chip capable of providing 3 axis acceleration and angular velocity readings. The chipset features both a 3 axis accelerometer (±2-16g), a 3 axis gyroscope(250-2000DPS) and an internal dropout regulator to allow the use of 5V and 3.3V supplies.
When combined with free libraries it is possible to utilize the chipset's processing power to perform data conversions and combination for greater accuracy and precision in positioning calculations. Furthermore the INT pin provides an interrupt that signals when fresh data is available from the sensor to limit the need for continuous polling.
Communication is handled through a 2 pin I2C interface, available on a wide range of microcontrollers. The I2C address of can be set by driving the ADO pin to 0V for 0x68 or 3.3V for 0x69. XDA and XCL provide a master I2C interface if you wished to add further devices.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further information regarding the module's operation.
