Imperial German Model 1898 / 05 Bayonet Knife + Scabbard & Frog Franz Brehme Mrk

Description

Imperial German Bayonet Model 1898/05 with scabbard and leather frog.  Bayonet measures 19-3/4" overall with a blade length of 14-3/8".  Very good condition overall with age patina, wear, use, scratches, grease, some soft rust spots on pommel, and scabbard with original finish.  Ricasso area of blade marked, "act. ges.vorh/ Frister & Rossman/Berlin".  Opposite side shows the two stick figures cartouches.  Great working press-stud ejector.  Good looking scabbard with original finish and some fading and light rust spots, with a ding on the back and some light fine pitting and scratches. Comes with a Black leather frog that shows some age patina, wear, fine cracks, some leather loss around the name markings on the back.  Back marked, ""FRANZ BREHME/WALSRODE 19.." Can't make out the year.  See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.   A great looking set.
