This is a very rare
three volume edition
of J.R.R. Tolkien's «Lord of the Rings», translated into
Hungarian: «A Gyürük Ura» from 1981,
published by Gondolat. It was translated by
Arpad Göncz,
who in 1990 became the first President of democratic Hungary (until 2000). The covers are
illustrated on the front and on the back
and have a newly drawn map.
The books are
still in very good shape
for their age. The covers are slightly worn but not torn. The backs and the spines are fine, clean and stable. Need more pictures? Just ask.
