Copyright 1983 by University of Hawaii Press
Hardbound in Near Fine condition with good Dust Jack, 450 pages includes FRONTISPIECE, FOREWORD, PREFACE, ABBREVIATIONS, GLOSSARY OF FOREIGN TERMS IN TITLES and TEXT, INTRODUCTION TO THE CATALOGUE, CONCORDANCE OF CATALOGUE NUMBERS, ILLUSTRATIONS CREDITS, TITLE INDEX and GENERAL INDEX, measures approximately 12" x 12".
The Dust Jacket features two oversized color prints by Mr. Charlot.  It is modestly soiled with a couple significant chips; one to the upper rear edge next to the spine and the other near the front lower leading edge. Other wear would be considered more as edge wear, small chips or tears to the spine and edges but the jacket remains whole, in good condition for the size and age. It has been placed in an Archival Quality clear Mylar jacket cover to better protect it in the future and still makes an impressive presentation.
The boards are covered in light yellow cloth . They are clean and straight out to the points with, free of soil, stains, bumps or edge wear.
The interior reveals striking dark blue end papers back with front and rear hinges completely intact, contents pristine. There are no previous owner indications, no marks, creases or tears.
"Here for the first time are collected and illustrated all of Charlot's works in multiple media, dating from the earliest (executed by the artist in his native France in 1916) through 1974. Included with each illustration are the rigorously precise data of the classic catalogue raisonne: title, date, place, medium, size, colors, states, edition, printer, sources, collections, and so forth. The descriptive data are supported by excerpt from Charlot's diary and a running commentary, both autobiographic and technical, by the artist himself. The information from the cataloguer and the artist are woven together as two strands into a smooth and original unity. Morse's work has been a labor of love by a professional art historian and Charlot's own words enrich and complement it."
"Over 700 black-and-white and twenty-nine color plates, reproduced with the greatest fidelity, combine with the text to make this book a monument and a tribute to a great artist. It will be a delight and a treasure to art lovers everywhere, especially to those who number themselves among Charlot's admirers. Also, because Charlot and his printers have been among the pioneers in color lithography, this book should become a standard reference in the history and techniques of printmaking."
    - THE UNIVERSITY PRESS OF HAWAII
Professor Charlot passed away in 1979, only three years after the publication of this Catalogue Raisonne, thus with the exclusion of the work of his years, it is the complete and comprehensive presentation of his life's work. The catalogue has not been reissued nor has another been published. An immense volume, produced in an oversized format, weighing approximately 6 pounds, JEAN CHARLOT'S PRINTS, A CATALOGUE RAISONNE is truly a presentations of the life's work of a most prolific artist.
Further, this offering includes one of the Rare
