Indo Persian Ceremonial Battle Axe is a very nice example dating from the late 19th to early 20th Century and is just gorgeous in its over abundant gold inlay detail. It is mounted with a fabulous Axehead which measures 11 3/8 inches across that wears a cutting edge that measures 6 3/4 inches deep and features fully cut out intricately detailed pierced work in addition to all of its lovely gold inlay fully remaining on either side. The shaft wears equally exquisite gold inlay designs and houses a beautifully detailed hidden dagger. Both the shaft and dagger have wonderfully patined setting off the gold detailing brilliantly. This Grand Piece measures an impressive 29 inches in length! Overall this Ceremonial Battle Axe has survived in exceptionally nice condition.
