bronze gilt
framed wall plaque of the MEIJI EMPEROR
in good displayable condition.
The
framed wall plaque of the MEIJI EMPEROR
(
1868-1912)
has small
nicks, scuffs, marks, mild corrosion, patina wear, dust, etc..
The portrait of the MEIJI
EMPEROR
in his military uniform including
frame
is gilt bronze and the chrysanthemum is gilt gold.
The bronze gilt frame is about 43.5cm (17 1/8") high, 34cm (13 3/8") wide, 4cm (1 9/16") thick and it weighs 2.8 kilograms.
The portrait of the MEIJI
EMPEROR
was not made in the MEIJI Era.    His face could only be seen after his death.
