Description
AN ORIGINAL AND EARLY RUSSET COLOR LEATHER HOLSTER FOR THE US ARMY DOUBLE ACTION COLT REVOLVER ( MODEL 1892,1894,1896,1901 AND 1903)THIS ONE IS DATED 1903 AND IS MARKED "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL". THERE ARE ALSO A COUPLE OF INSPECTOR INITIALS BELOW.
THE LEATHER IS MOSTLY RUSSET IN COLOR. THE LEATHER IS LIVELY AND FLEXIBLE. THE "US" ON THE FRONT IS A BIT FADED BUT PRESENT. MINOR MARKS AND SOME DARKER AREA FROM STORAGE AND FIELD USE.
NOTE THE FOLLOWING: THERE IS A PURPOSEDLY CUT SLIT ON THE BELT LOOP. PROBABLY DONE DURING THE PERIOD OF US. LASTLY, THE BOTTOM PLUG HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A NICE LEATHER RUSSET PLUG WITH NO RING. NICELY DONE BUT CLEARLY NOT ORIGINAL.

. If you are not absolutely pleased with an item you bought from us, we do offer a 30 day return policy and would ask that you notify us within 14 days if there is an issue with an item. If we have incorrectly described the item, we will pay for postage both ways. Otherwise postage cost will be the responsibility of the buyer. The items we sell are usually for static display and not to be used in the field today. We do not ever end auctions early. We ask that payment for a store or an auction purchase be made within 10 days of the transaction. After that we reserve the right to relist the item. We normally post feedback after we have received feedback from the buyer so that we know the item was received and the buyer is pleased with the transaction.
Shipping and handling:
The United States Postal Service is our shipper of choice. We will combined shipping cost for multiple purchases. We are in the Antique Militaria business and do not make money from shipping. We merely try to cover some of our basic costs.
International buyers, please note that all purchases are fully and correctly disclosed on Custom forms for the invoice amount. Be aware that to obtain insurance for an International package, which we encourage you to purchase, the package must be sent via Priority Mail which is much more expensive than First Class Mail.
