    Description

We just acquired this beautiful World War One era German Regimental Flask dated 1912/1914 on one side....
The flask is 7 and 1/2 inches high and 5 inches wide.....
It is made of metal or tin and porcelain and is hand painted with fine detailing showing a total of five scenes. One side a soldier is riding a goat with what could be his Father in the window of a house with what looks like an officers uniform waving and his Mother holding the goats tail. On the other side is four scenes with one having a soldier in front of a guard shack holding a rifle and waving, in another a soldier is standing in front of a train with his girlfriend who may be crying and holding a hankerchief. In another two happy soldiers are shown in front of a barracks or building waving a letter, and the last picture has a soldier with a baton in one hand and a similar flask in the other with his wife or girlfriend in the doorway....
The flask is complete with the German Eagle finial top and it has a tiny brass ring in his beak for holding a Medal or Iron Cross possibly.....
It also has a twisted rope with tassle for hanging.....
This flask shows normal age wear on the tin or metal for over 100 years old.....
A super collectible that will no doubt go up in price as the years go by.....
