?This is an ORIGINAL and beautiful quarter-sawn oak wooden cabinet produced for the Schrade Cutlery Company's pocket and small sheath knives, as would have been seen in hardware and other stores circa 1900-1920 displaying Schrade's knives for sale.  I purchased this cabinet through an advertisement in
Knife World
in the 1990's and for many years I stored my M2 "automatic" knife collection in it.  Since I'm selling my knife collection, I no longer have need for this rare display case.
The case is 23.25" in width, 11.675" in depth and 10.5" in height and weighs approximately 15 pounds. The painting on the underside is original to the cabinet and is in MINT, ORIGINAL condition without drop outs of the paint or scratches. The cabinet's glue joints have dried out in places, but the joints have not loosened to the point of being wobbly.  It just needs to be lifted from the bottom when held and moved into position.  To properly display my knives, I inserted a black velvet-covered board which is removable, if desired, and elevated in the rear with three removable blocks of wood. The rear door has a mirror which, as usual for mirrors 100+ years old, has lost some of its silvering, but looks all the more authentic for it.  The spring-loaded door operates flawlessly and remains down for loading and closed when raised upward.
PLEASE NOTE
: Due to the glass display window, the cabinet will need to be double-boxed and wrapped in bubble wrap and styrofoam "peanuts" to prevent breakage in transit.
I will require insurance to ship the cabinet, in the event that even my best efforts at careful packing do not prevent damage at the "tender mercies" of the USPS.  The amount of the insurance and extra postage, if any, will be separately billed AFTER purchase and packing.
