The cover photo shows CDOT FL-9 No.2019 right out of the paint shop at Chrome
Crankshaft in Silvis, Illinois, on 09 September 1984, in a Gary L. Powell
photo. The inside front cover depicts J1 No.3022 at Great Hill cut on the
Airline (Air Line?), in April 1948, in a Kent Cochrane photograph that would bring
a smile to any model railroader looking for train size authenticity. "WIRE
TRAIN" is all on one page and includes an Archive Update, a review on New
England Alcos in Twilight and a NH FA CAB on the LIRR. TROLLEY STOP by C.A.
Brown fills 3 pages with THE NEW HAVEN'S ELECTRIC PROBLEMS, which is a reprint
from the Railroad Gazette of 15 January 1904. Charlie adds 3 photos and a

MODELING THE NEW HAVEN by Rolly Osmun features THE NEW HAVEN FL-9
filling 6 pages with 4 figure drawings, a bill of materials, the differences
between EDER-5 and EDER-5a's and13 prototype and 4 model photos. I think....
the models are so good that it is sometimes possible to count a model photo as
the real thing. REUNION BANQUET 1984 is covered on 2 pages and features former
NH President, Frederick "Buck" Dumaine, and 6 fine photos are
