SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILWAY TRAIN ORDERS (531) 80 DIFFERENT OREGON LOCATIONS CD!!

Description

In very good condition. This is a Top-Quality CD of 531 Southern Pacific Transportation Company train order images, covering the entire state of Oregon from 1891 to 1982. Included is 1 station list showing each location and the number of orders copied at that location.
Also included is a small timetable compendium covering this territory. These timetables are:
SP Oregon Division Employee timetable No. 2  dated April 25, 1965  12 pages;
SP Oregon Div. ETT #6  April 24, 1977  54 pages; and
SP Shasta Div. ETT #53  June 2, 1946  35 pages. Total of 101 page images of employee timetables included in this CD.
These employee timetable pages cover all of this territory, and then some, so you can see where each location was, with respect to the others. This was all train order territory clear up to the time they got rid of train orders, around 1986. All images are of SP forms, all in the state of Oregon. Included in this CD are some locations from the Siskiyou Line. I included a few clearance card images where I had complete sets of orders available.
There are 80 different locations represented here, with at least one train order image from each one. Ages of the orders range from 1891 to 1982. I am very thankful to have obtained these orders before the SP and other roads did away with them entirely. Many of these stations and towers were closed in the 1950's and 1960's. Those that remained open, still copied a lot of train orders, as traffic was always fairly heavy in this whole area.
The 12 pictures shown are just a sampling of the quantity and variety of locations, engine numbers (some steam) and other operations unique to this large and very interesting piece of Railroad.
This CD shows many track conditions, operating procedures, and many meets and flag orders, all consistent with train-order operation. This is some of the best Railroad reading anywhere.
Very nice items that are obsolete and no longer used by any Railroad.
