    Description

    Russian Medal in Commemoration of the 90th Anniversary Since the Birth of Yuri Andropov (infamous chief of KGB and later briefly a Soviet
    premier during the 80s), with unissued award document.
    Attractive medal in brass with bright gilt finish showing bas-relief portrait of Andropov and dates 1914 – 2004. The motto on the reverse in the center is “For
    Faithfulness to the Motherland”. The top has inscription “VChK – KGB – FSB”.
    The medal comes with unissued award certificate. The blue ink stamp is of the VChK- KGB – FSB Award Committee, a non-governmental veterans organization.
    The medal is EXCELLENT condition. There is some wear to the document on the spine and minor indentations on the back, not too detractive.
