***NOTE- THIS PRINT IS MUCH SHARPER, WITH BETTER COLOR & SATURATION THAN THE SAMPLEPRINT SEEN HERE. WE ARE HAVING AN EBAY CAUSED ERROR: POOR SHARPNESS, COLOR, &
RESOLUTION PROBLEMS WITH THE PHOTO YOU SEE HERE. WE ARE WAITING FOR EBAY TO FIX THIS***
This is a rare quality giclee print on Epson pro quality photo paper (this is a different artist version than another we're selling) from an original hand printed silver halide gelatin photograph that was hand colored by an artist, shrink wrapped
cropped to fit and mounted on a black 8x10 inch backing board **which is included as part of the print as you can see here (see photo
) with caption, hand color artist credits, full caption, and photography information on the back of the Sunset Beach Store, in 1981? now known as Ted's bakery. For surfers and locals the store holds a lot of fond memories as a landmark in the Sunset Beach area, and Ted's Bakery makes famous yummy macadamia nut creme and other pies that are sold all over the island of Oahu. It is also grainy as it was shot on Velvia transparency film from a black and white original that was hand colored, please be aware of this, but it is still a very nice historic and artistic image.
It would make a great birthday or holiday gift for someone who likes this area or who may have lived at, or visited the north shore in the past and remembers this famous landmark.
They are popular reasonably priced decorations for restaurants, offices, homes, or stores where people can see them.
Our hand printed silver halide gelatin original and hand colored photos are very popular and affordable to local people and tourists visiting Hawaii, as well as people who have never visited Hawaii. We're proud to mention that many of our photos are being used as background artwork in the top rated CBS television network series "Hawaii 5-0". The photos are the 'old style' traditional film based images printed using an enlarger from a negative on real photographic paper and archivally processed by hand, not by a machine. Prices are less than you would pay retail at a gallery and production costs are lower than most folks so we want to offer affordable quality art for people who might not otherwise be able to afford it. It is also available in larger sizes unmounted, please inquire.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE:
e-Bay's transfer process and the computer screen may make the photo look contrasty and slightly darker or lighter, depending on your monitor brightness and contrast settings. The color hues may look slightly different and may have a different tonal range and brightness than you may see on your individual computer screen.
**When it is cropped and attached to the black single mat 8x10" backing board you will be able to see the backing board around the borders of the print. It makes the print look like there is a wider margin at the top and bottom of the photo (which you can see if you look at the photo, it is longer than wide). An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo. Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using an archival photo adhesive and cannot be easily removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. If you want to use a larger frame and can't figure out how to do it with the photo mounted on the backing board, contact us and we can explain how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10 inch frame and displaying the image as is.
