***NOTE- THIS PRINT IS MUCH SHARPER, WITH BETTER COLOR & SATURATION THAN THE SAMPLE
PRINT SEEN HERE. WE ARE HAVING AN EBAY CAUSED ERROR: POOR  SHARPNESS, COLOR, &
RESOLUTION PROBLEMS WITH THE PHOTO YOU SEE HERE. WE ARE WAITING FOR EBAY TO FIX THIS***
This is a quality surrealistic giclee print from an original Velvia transparency, printed on Epson glossy pro photo paper, shrink wrapped (you may be able to see it in the photo),
cropped, and mounted on a single 8x10 inch backing board **which is part of the print (see photo) and not
a mat board cutout
with caption and photography information on the back of the historic Sea View Inn building in Haleiwa town on Kam Hwy.
It is initialed
('BR
83') in black ink in the lower corner.
The restaurant was located at the former site of the Haleiwa Hotel, and was the main evening eatery as it was the only restaurant open after dark in Haleiwa for several decades until the town became more populous.
The photo was taken earlier in the day and the cloud color reflection gave it a pastel color, and then it was altered to give it a surrealistic solarized look.
It is also a little grainy as it was shot on  35mm transparency film
and
is still a very nice artistic image.
Our hand printed silver halide gelatin, giclee original, and hand colored photos are very popular and affordable to local people and tourists visiting Hawaii, as well as people who have never visited Hawaii. We're proud to mention that many of our photos were used as background artwork in the top rated CBS television network series "Hawaii 5-0".
It would make a great gift for someone who likes this area, artistic, or historic building images of Hawaii. PLEASE ALSO NOTE:
e-Bay's transfer process and the computer screen may make the photo look contrasty and slightly darker or lighter, depending on your monitor brightness and contrast settings. The color hues may look slightly different and may have a different tonal range and brightness than you may see on your individual computer screen.
*
*When it is cropped and attached to the single mat 8x10" backing board you will be able to see the backing board around the borders of the print. It makes the print look like there is a wider margin at the top and bottom of the photo (which you can see if you look at the photo, it is longer than wide).
An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo.
Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using archival photo adhesive and cannot be easily removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. If you want to use a larger frame and can't figure out how to do it with the photo mounted on the backing board, contact us and we can explain how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10 inch frame and displaying the image as is.
