    US Army Model 1896 Revolver Cartridge Box.
    This US Army issue revolver cartridge box was for the Colt New Model Army revolver. It had a wooden block drilled for 12 rounds of 38 Long Colt ammo. This box is missing the wooden block but the leather is in excellent condition soft and pliable. All stitching is solid and intact.It is marked on the back Rock Island Arsenal. It is dated 1908 with the last two digits being double stamped. Also inspected by H.E.K. It is also stamped MASS.
