A Dwarf of independent spirit and inclinations, Nori the Dwarf was accustomed to relying on himself and trusting his own resourcefulness to overcome the challenges that his adventures occasionally presented. To that end, he was never a Dwarf to be caught without that most versatile of tools, a short, sharp knife.
Indeed, he carried a number on his person, secreted or worn openly, among them a short, broad bladed, double-edged design that fit snugly into his palm and could be drawn or concealed in the blur of a seemingly innocent gesture.
These prop replicas have been created from molds of the original weapons used in the film, using the same high impact urethane material as the props on set and finished using the same techniques and materials.
Richard Taylor, Special Effects Supervisor at Weta Workshop explains the use of urethane:
Although we use steel and aluminum to make a lot of our swords, often we benefit from the casting of these in a high impact urethane as we are able to capture the complexity of detail we are wishing to cast into some of our weapons. We have therefore chosen to present our collector’s edition of Hobbit weapons in the same material used for the making of the film props to exactly replicate the techniques and artistry used in the films."
The Knives of Nori the Dwarf come with a reinforced polystone wall plaque for display, pride of place, on your wall.

Watch out for counterfeit products.  Some of our most significant vendors sell counterfeit goods. Also, they sell SECONDS.  Seconds are items rejected as inferior by the Companies Quality Control.  These Companies do not Brand product rejections.
Vendor sell their products cheaper than anyone else because they buy for pennies on the dollars from counterfeit and Seconds salespersons.
The fraudulent behavior occurs when sellers sell these products as NEW, but do not add, that their goods are counterfeit or Seconds.  Often, they will use the Companies name in their advertisement and allege their products are backed by the Companies name which in fact they are not.  Some of these sellers claim to be certified dealers for the Company.
I sell only authentic products purchased from reputable dealers.  I do not buy from a back door salesman.
I must compete with sellers of Counterfeit, and Seconds goods. That is why I am exposing these practices. I cannot sell at their lower prices. Sellers of authentic product buy for higher rates.
You want more excellent quality; you must pay more for your products. Authentic products look better because of the higher quality materials used in their production.  They are likely to last longer for the same reason.
Sometimes, when you see sellers with the same generic picture as their peers, (There are no absolutes: not all sellers who show stock photos sell counterfeit or seconds goods.), selling as new, they maybe are selling counterfeit products or Seconds.  And, if those same sellers' prices are nearly the same, most likely they are selling counterfeit goods.
Counterfeiters' provide the pictures to be advertised and set the selling prices. Buyers must stay within the counterfeiters' guidelines if they want to do business in the future. Their counterfeit buyers are not allowed to profit more than the counterfeiters on the products they sell.
Also, if product prices are too good to be true, they might be counterfeit or seconds goods.
