William Adams Palestine #4 Black Transferware Tea Bowl & Saucer C. 1830-1840s D
Nice tea bowl and saucer in the Palestine #4 pattern from the Palestine series by William Adams in black transfer. Unmarked. Circa 1830 to 1840s.
Has some crazing typical of pearlware, minor discoloration from the firing, usage wear consistent with age, glaze flaking along the rims, staining of the type that may soak out, a small repair to a chip on the foot rim of the tea bowl and two small stacking flakes to the foot rim of the saucer.
The tea bowl measures approximately 4 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 6 1/8 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
